Happy Spring South East Express Network members and future members! I love this time of year when everything starts blooming again and we get to wear great summer outfits and sandals. We promised to give you relevant speakers to help you to get your financial, business and personal life in order and we have delivered on that promise and continue to do so with the programs we have scheduled through the summer. Thank you Sheri for scheduling such great programs this year, we really appreciate all that you do!
Our Spring Membership drive started March 1 and runs through May 30, 2012 so “Start a Conversation” with everyone you meet about ABWA and how it has helped you in your business and/or personal life. It only takes a minute to invite someone and give them the ABWA opportunity that was extended to you!
On May 10, 2012, we will hear from our very own member, Lela Donelson on “Knowledge is Power”. Lela’s passion is helping others gain the knowledge needed to accomplish their goals- whether it be free computer applications or customized training programs for your employees- Lela can help you get the training you need.
On June 14, 2012 we are excited to present Marla Regan, “Organize or Agonize”. Marla will help give practical tips on boosting office productivity by addressing email overload, paper piles, and managing busy schedules. Learn how to effectively be efficient in the workplace by identifying time robbers and learning how to streamline the workflow to eliminate the clutter and manage your calendar and desk.
On July 12, 2012 National President, Tina Gandy will be installing our incoming board of directors. You will want to be at this meeting not only to cheer on the new board as they get ready to lead us into the next year, but also to meet the National President of ABWA, who resides in District II. She will give us the latest updates on WINovations and answer any questions that you have about ABWA.
You are all fabulous individuals with a passion for your business and community. Get to know other members by making a special effort at each meeting to sit with someone you have never met before, do more than just give a business card- make a new friend!
I have served on your Board of Directors since Chartering in 2005. I have to say, being your President has been the greatest honor of all the positions I have held. Knowing, “we are in this together” makes everything worthwhile!
